A different map rendering

I think Sergei's is way, way better, imho :)

  2. Thank you Master Tuterov! (deepbow)
I even tried taking screenshots from Google Earth and making textures. It works REALLY good for jungles and forests (I used Brazil and Pennsylvania for those), but mountains and arctic mountains require some real playing around. I finally got tired and decided to see what Paint.NET could do from just within the program. All what I did was basically manipulations of Noise addition, a little Blur here and there, and Oil Paint rendering. Hills and mountains I did using Clouds and then the rest. Your Eberron rendering is really right on the money, though.

I do kind of like my rendition of the Crying Fields as a vale of sort of dead grasses surrounded by hills, as opposed to a raised area of hills amidst the plains. We should work more together on the map. It's fun!
